The friction coefficient and wear amount of POM are small. The friction coefficient is 1/3 of PA66. It is suitable for long-term sliding parts. The fatigue resistance is the best among plastics, and the wear resistance is 3 times as much as PA66.
- Glass fiber reinforced PET
GFPET can be made into zippers by injection molding and extrusion molding. The creep resistance, wear resistance, and friction resistance of GFPET are better than those of PA66 and POM. The fatigue resistance is equivalent to that of POM, and the low-temperature resistance is good. It is suitable for use in cold regions. Its price is 50% lower than that of POM, and 160% lower than that of PA66. The disadvantage is that the self-lubricating property is lower than PA66 and POM.
Difference between the plastic zipper and nylon zipper
- The difference between raw materials: nylon zippers are made of polyester fiber raw materials, regardless of cloth strips or rice teeth, and the suture is made of polyester fiber. The plastic zipper, according to technical expertise, is an epoxy zipper. After plastic granulation, the injection molding process is carried out.
- Difference in the production process: nylon zipper is made of polyester thick silk spirally formed, and rice tooth and cloth strip are sewn together by suture. The plastic zipper is made of polyester raw material particles that are melted at high temperatures and then molded into cloth strips by a plastic machine.
- Difference between application fields and physical standards: nylon zipper with rice teeth closely occluded, soft and high compressive strength, can withstand bending above 90 degrees without affecting the compressive strength, and is generally used for luggage, leather goods, outdoor tents, gliders, etc. to withstand strong tensile resistance In places where bending is often used, the pulling frequency is high, the wear resistance is high, and the application is common.
