Compared with ordinary zippers, waterproof zippers have a stronger anti-splashing function, better appearance, and can play a bonding role. Of course, the cost is relatively high. They are mostly used for the decoration of outdoor articles and brand clothing such as assault suits, down jackets, mountaineering suits, mountaineering bags, tents, etc. Do you know the purchasing skills and use of waterproof zippers?

Pay attention to the following points when selecting waterproof zippers:

1. The prices of waterproof zipper materials are listed from high to low: imported PU waterproof zipper, TPU waterproof zipper, PVC waterproof zipper.

2. Specify which products and requirements waterproof zippers are used for: clothes, bags, tents, etc. need to be washed and steam scalded, exported to Europe and Japan, etc. all pass environmental protection test standards, and TPU waterproof zippers and imported PU waterproof zippers are required for high-temperature resistance and low-temperature resistance;

3. High-temperature resistance of more than 200 degrees, low-temperature resistance of about - 80 degrees must use imported PU waterproof zipper, high-temperature resistance of 100-180 degrees, low-temperature resistance of - 40-50 degrees can use TPU waterproof zipper;

4. If the waterproof zipper is required to be pulled back and forth thousands to tens of thousands of times, the imported PU waterproof zipper must be used;

5. If only cheap and low-cost ones are required, PVC waterproof zippers will be selected;

6. If it is required to use the selected materials for hot pressing without tailoring, you need to try them out before you know, because the materials of each product are different!

7. If the color waterproof zipper is customized, the color difference on the surface is required to be uniform, and there is no turbidity, only the toner film waterproof zipper can be used;

8. If the zipper is required to be used in traffic police uniforms and other dangerous signs, it is required to select reflective waterproof zippers;

9. If it is required to use the printed waterproof zipper according to the pattern or logo of the product fabric.

Precautions for use of the waterproof zipper

1. Ironing: ironing is likely to be the main reason for the waterproof film to fall off. Please try to avoid ironing. If it is necessary to iron, please put a thin cloth on it at a temperature below 100 degrees Celsius;

2. Washing: to avoid damaging the waterproof membrane during washing, the waterproof zipper must be pulled up and washed. Do not wash with hot water. When drying, please dry naturally;

3. Dry cleaning: the dry cleaning conditions of waterproof zippers are likely to be different from the dry cleaning conditions of clothing fabrics. All users who use waterproof zippers of our company should confirm before using waterproof zippers of our company;

4. Color diffusion (pollution): waterproof zippers are easy to react with PVC and Pu peritoneum, so it is likely to contaminate the fabric. Please confirm in advance before use. If there is pollution, please use an isolation cloth between the fabric and waterproof zipper before sewing;

Note: when red and black waterproof zippers are used with bright white fabrics, they must be sewn after isolation cloth is used between them, especially when Pu is coated on the fabric and contacts the waterproof film on the waterproof zipper.

5. Finished clothes packaging: to prevent the color on the zipper from spreading to the inner fabric of the clothes during transportation, please use tissue paper for packaging between the clothes and inside the clothes.
